About this opportunity

This notice provides advance information on a planned sole source contract modification for the Naval Sea Systems Command. The modification will be awarded to Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems for the production of Fire Control System MK 99 equipment sets in support of DDG 51 Class shipbuilding programs for Fiscal Years 2021-2022. Raytheon IDS is the only qualified source capable of meeting the required production schedule given their extensive experience and technical expertise with the FCS MK 99 system. Interested parties have until November 13, 2019 to express their capability to meet the requirement, though any submissions will not be reimbursed and a competitive procurement is not guaranteed based on the responses received.

No set-aside designation will be used. Raytheon IDS is named as the current and only qualified source due to their status as the designer, manufacturer, and tester of the FCS MK 99 system. The modification is expected to support shipset quantities for multiple DDG 51 Class ships over fiscal years 2021-2022, though specific award values or quantities were not provided. As the only existing source with production engineering knowledge and test facilities for this system, Raytheon IDS is identified as best positioned to meet the schedule demands of this Navy requirement.
