About this opportunity

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract to Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems to complete system development, fielding and sustainment of AEGIS combat system configurations delivered to the fleet through fiscal year 2024. This effort supports the United States Navy's AEGIS cruisers and destroyers, United States Coast Guard cutters and international AEGIS fleets. Lockheed Martin is currently the AEGIS Combat System Engineering Agent under NAVSEA Contract N00024-13-C-5116 and is the only firm capable of fulfilling the requirement within the necessary schedule. Responses to the pre-solicitation notice will be considered by April 8, 2022.

There is no set-aside designated for this proposed contract. Lockheed Martin is the incumbent and potential awardee due to its expertise as the AEGIS Combat System Engineering Agent. The effort includes support for the USN and USCG fleets through FY2024 and covers AEGIS baselines 5/6/7/9/10 as well as capability packages and variants for international customers through 2024. The value and period of performance will support system development, fielding and sustainment through FY2024.
