About this opportunity
The Department of State US Embassy Nicosia is seeking architect and engineer services for the renovation of a residential property located in Archangelos, Nicosia, Cyprus. The scope of work includes design services, construction drawing preparation, oversight services, and a mandatory structural analysis of the property that must be completed before the Embassy determines whether to proceed with the renovation project. Firms must demonstrate relevant professional qualifications in projects with construction values of at least $900,000 within the past three years, specialized experience and technical competence in this type of work, and demonstrated success on similar projects including quality of work and compliance with performance schedules. The evaluation criteria, listed in descending order of importance, also include personnel capacity to accomplish the work in required time, knowledge of the project locality, and licensing as required by local law. Interested firms must submit a completed Standard Form 330 to NicosiaContracting@state.gov by noon local time on August 25, 2025, with the Embassy planning to select the licensed firm that demonstrates the best qualifications for negotiation.
This procurement opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified firms. No current contractors or incumbents are identified in the solicitation notice. The estimated construction costs for the renovation project range between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000, though this represents the construction value rather than the architect/engineer service fees. The timeline requires firms to have the personnel capacity to complete the required work within the specified timeframe, though specific project duration details are not provided in the pre-solicitation notice. The procurement falls under NAICS code 5413 for Architectural, Engineering, and Related Services and PSC code C1FA for Architect and Engineering Construction related to Family Housing Facilities.
