About this opportunity
The United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service, Southwestern Region 3, is seeking professional land surveying services for National Forests in Arizona and New Mexico through an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The procurement will cover comprehensive boundary surveying services, including boundary and right-of-way surveys, retracement surveys, dependent resurveys, section subdivision surveys, and metes-and-bounds surveys for National Forest System land boundaries. All survey work must be performed under the direct supervision of a Registered Land Surveyor or Professional Surveyor, with a focus on precise documentation and boundary marking. The agency is requesting capability statements from potential contractors that demonstrate relevant experience, technical competence, and compliance with specified professional standards. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on November 20, 2024, with responses due by January 3, 2025, indicating a comprehensive review process for potential service providers.
The contract opportunity is set aside exclusively for small businesses, with a preference for HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned, 8(a), veteran-owned, woman-owned, or small disadvantaged businesses. The parent contract will have a five-year duration from the date of award, with a guaranteed minimum purchase of $5,000 for services rendered throughout the contract lifecycle. While specific award values are not explicitly detailed, the IDIQ structure suggests flexibility in project scope and potential funding. The geographic focus is limited to National Forests within Arizona and New Mexico, indicating a regionally specific requirement for surveying services. Potential contractors should prepare comprehensive capability statements that highlight their surveying expertise, technical qualifications, and ability to meet the precise requirements of the United States Forest Service's Southwestern Region.
