About this opportunity

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has published a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source contract extension to Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. for advisory and assistance services related to office administration. This notice serves as an informational announcement under federal acquisition regulations rather than a formal solicitation. The MDA intends to utilize the sole source authority under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, which allows for non-competitive procurement when only one responsible source can satisfy agency requirements. The contract extension would cover a two-month period of performance for administrative support services. The agency has determined that Yorktown Systems Group is uniquely positioned to provide these services without causing unacceptable delays or substantial cost duplications.

The primary objective of this procurement is to secure a knowledgeable and well-trained administrative services workforce that can deliver high-performing and efficiency-oriented administrative and executive support to leverage MDA's capabilities. Interested contractors have 15 days from the August 15, 2025 posting date to submit capability statements for consideration, with responses due by September 5, 2025. All responsible sources are eligible to submit capability statements, which the agency will review solely to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement instead of the planned sole source award. The notice explicitly states that no solicitation document is available and no awards will be made based on unsolicited quotations or offers received in response to this announcement. The government reserves full discretion to proceed with the sole source approach regardless of any responses received during this notice period.
