About this opportunity
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) at Lakehurst, New Jersey is procuring Advanced Packaging, Inc. (API) transit storage cases with foam to support the Radio Integration System (RIS) Family of Systems through an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The procurement is being conducted as a limited competition between the original equipment manufacturer, API, and authorized distributors. The government has determined that only API brand transit cases with foam can satisfy the unique combination of requirements, including the capability to protectively store all RIS system equipment, secure non-slip stacking grooves compatible with API radio cases, and successful environmental testing certification. The solicitation emphasizes that API cases have been previously procured and are currently integrated into RIS platforms, with no alternative products meeting the specified requirements. The deadline for responses is January 30, 2026, and submissions must be received by the specified response date and time; responses submitted by phone or fax will not be accepted.
This is not a set-aside procurement. Advanced Packaging, Inc. (CAGE: 61528) is the incumbent original equipment manufacturer and primary offeror, competing against authorized distributors in this limited competition. The solicitation does not specify award values or budget ranges in the available documentation. The CLIN structure details twelve distinct product types spanning five ordering periods, including storage cases for HF Couplers, MBR Transit Support containers, various antenna types, SMRTS cases, GPS storage cases, and Mil Spec bags, with a consistent 98-day lead time across all items. All products will be manufactured by Advanced Packaging, Inc. and are classified under NAICS 326199 (All Other Plastics Product Manufacturing) and PSC 8145 (Specialized Shipping and Storage Containers).
