About this opportunity
The United States Navy's Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure PARTS KIT, EXPLOSIVE and associated equipment through this solicitation. The contract requires manufacturing and production of specific explosive adapter and parts kit components, with stringent quality assurance and testing requirements. Contractors must be authorized distributors of the original manufacturer's items and must comply with detailed military standards including MIL-STD-130 and MIL-DTL-19595. All quotes must be submitted via email to ROBERT.REHMAN@NAVY.MIL by May 5, 2025, with a minimum 90-day validity period. Prospective vendors must have a valid SAM registration and clearly marked CAGE code, and must be prepared to undergo comprehensive government testing and inspection processes.
The solicitation does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, suggesting the opportunity is open to all qualified contractors. Production lot testing will occur at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division, where 100% of units must be delivered for comprehensive evaluation. The contractor will be required to notify the government testing activity 30 days prior to material shipment and provide material certificates of conformance for all first article and production lot testing materials. Specific delivery requirements mandate that an EOD Technician will have 90 days to test and inspect the production quantity, with an additional 30 days allocated for the contract administrator to provide results. Contractors must maintain detailed inspection records for 365 calendar days after final delivery and be prepared to package and mark materials in accordance with MIL-STD 2073 packaging standards.
