About this opportunity

Electronic procedures will be used, with the solicitation to be posted on NECO, and all submissions must be sent via email to linda.vong2.civ@us.navy.mil. A Source Approval Request (SAR) is required for any firm not already approved to manufacture the material, though the procurement will not be delayed waiting for SAR approval.

This is not a small business set-aside procurement, and the contract is classified under NAICS code 336413 and Federal Supply Class 1680 for miscellaneous aircraft accessories and components. The procurement is structured with FOB origin delivery and is expected to result in an award to either GE Aviation Systems or Bell Textron. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on October 16, 2024, with a response deadline of March 31, 2025. No telephone requests will be honored, and no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. The government currently does not own the data or rights needed to purchase this item from additional sources beyond the two approved manufacturers, which may limit competitive bidding for this specific contract.
