About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure an electromechanical actuator, a component classified under aircraft engine and engine parts manufacturing (NAICS 336412) and engine fuel system components for aircraft and missile prime movers (PSC 2915). This acquisition is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, making it eligible for streamlined procurement procedures. The solicitation will be made available on SAM.gov, with offerors permitted to submit responses electronically via email. A synopsis waiver has been granted in accordance with FAR 5.202(a)(13) due to the anticipated dollar value being below the threshold and the availability of electronic submission capabilities. The solicitation number for this requirement is SPRTA1-25-Q-0431, and interested vendors are encouraged to monitor SAM.gov for the complete solicitation package and submission instructions.

This pre-solicitation notice does not utilize any small business set-asides, nor does it designate any specific incumbent contractors. The anticipated contract value falls below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, meaning the total award is expected to be relatively modest in scope. The notice does not provide specific quantity requirements, delivery timelines, or technical specifications at this stage, as detailed requirements will be contained in the full solicitation documentation available on SAM.gov. Potential offerors should note that the pre-solicitation notice was posted on January 7, 2026, and should prepare to respond promptly once the formal solicitation is released through the government procurement portal.
