About this opportunity
The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia is seeking to procure 26 electro-mechanical actuators with National Stock Number 1680-014552537, specifically part number 2741392-2-2. This procurement is being conducted on a limited source basis, primarily targeting the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) MOOG Inc. and Boeing, who are currently the only known sources for these items. The government does not possess the technical data rights to source these components from alternative manufacturers. Interested parties must submit their capability statements, proposals, or quotations within 15 days of the January 10, 2025 notice, with all submissions to be sent via email to elise.anzini@navy.mil. The solicitation will utilize procedures prescribed in FAR Part 13 and Part 15, and electronic procedures will be used, with the Request for Proposal to be posted on NECO.
The procurement is not a small business set-aside and is expected to award to one of the two approved sources by May 2025. Any firms not currently approved to manufacture the material must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR), though the procurement will not be delayed pending SAR approval. The contract falls under NAICS code 336413 and Product Service Code 1680 for Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components. Potential contractors should note that no telephone requests will be honored, and no hard copies of solicitation documents will be mailed. The procurement is for delivery FOB origin, with a total quantity requirement of 26 units. While specific award value is not disclosed, the limited source nature and specialized aerospace component suggest a potentially significant contract value for these critical electro-mechanical actuators.
