About this opportunity
The Department of Labor's Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management is seeking a service contract for cable television services at the National Mine Health & Safety Academy in Beaver, WV. The procurement will cover cable TV services for approximately 209 hookups across dormitory rooms, classrooms, common areas, and offices, with a requirement to provide local channels and DirecTV's 69-channel Entertainment package. Interested vendors must submit a response by February 11, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST, including company details, a capability statement, and past performance examples. The evaluation will likely focus on the vendor's ability to meet key performance requirements, such as maintaining a 99% response time within 24 hours of service calls and ensuring television signal does not fail more than 4 hours per month. Vendors must have a NAICS code of 517111 (Wired Telecommunications Carriers) and be prepared to provide 24-hour technical support and on-site service.
The contract will be a firm-fixed-price arrangement with a 12-month base period from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026, and four additional 12-month option periods extending through March 31, 2030. There are no specific set-aside designations for this opportunity, indicating it is open to all qualified vendors. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary personnel, equipment, materials, and installation services, with the ability to add additional drops through bilateral modification. While specific award values are not disclosed, the contract requires comprehensive cable services for a facility with 209 hookups, suggesting a moderate-sized procurement. The government has indicated flexibility in the contract structure, allowing for potential expansions or modifications to meet the National Mine Health & Safety Academy's evolving communication needs.
