About this opportunity
This pre-solicitation notice seeks recommendations on a revised Statement of Objectives for an activity by the US Agency for International Development in Albania to accelerate the country's EU accession through improved competitiveness. USAID is preparing to issue a Request for Proposal in early 2024 to support agri-food value chains, inform the EU approximation process, and demonstrate Albania's ability to meet the Copenhagen economic criteria for accession. The revised SOO details objectives to strengthen private sector competitiveness and reduce corruption through inclusive economic reforms, and strengthen selected value chains to demonstrate the capability to cope with EU competitive pressures. Responses to the RFI are due by January 12, 2024 and should not exceed 1-2 pages, with no feedback or responses to questions provided by USAID.
There is no set-aside designated for this opportunity. The activity aims to support Albania's EU accession process through two objectives over an undefined timeline. No incumbent contractors or budget ranges are provided, though the overall goal is to accelerate Albania's EU accession through demonstrations of improved competitiveness in selected agri-food value chains and economic reforms.
