The National Park Service, Northeast Region, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a construction requirement at Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, ME. The work will consist of demolishing and replacing the Schoodic wastewater treatment plant. The solicitation documents, including a detailed Statement of Work and specifications, will be issued on or about August 6, 2024 and posted to SAM.gov. This will be a firm-fixed price contract, and interested offerors are highly encouraged to attend a scheduled site visit to fully understand the requirement and conditions.

The National Park Service, Northeast Region, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a construction requirement at Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, ME. Work will consist of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, access, and supervision as required to demolish and replace the Schoodic wastewater treatment plant at Acadia National Park. A detailed Statement of Work and specifications will be provided with final solicitation documents.

SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P4324R0019.

PUBLICIZING: The official solicitation (RFP) and its attachments will be issued on or about 08/06/2024 and will be posted to the U.S. government’s website for contracting opportunities at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities.
The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation.

PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.

TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract. Federal Construction Wage Rates for Hancock County, Maine will apply. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 237110 Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction, and the size standard is $45.0 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses.

SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
