THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. A SYNOPIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION MAY BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDERS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY.
Please only respond to this sources sought notice if you are interested in submitting a bid and capable of performing the work required to complete the project.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates the need for a firm-fixed-price contract for a project entitled Above Ground Storage Tanks at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Seagoville, Texas. FCI Seagoville is a federal correctional facility located at 2113 N. Hwy 175, Seagoville, Texas 75159.
The following brief synopsis should not be considered inclusive of work required to complete the project. The project consists of removal of underground fuel storage tanks and installation of above ground fuel storage tanks. The contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, equipment, testing and training necessary to remove a total of three (3) underground fuel storage tanks to include disposal, testing of soil for contamination, remediation and backfill and the installation of two (2) above ground fuel storage tanks to include probes, sensors, wiring, conduit, piping, concrete pads, monitoring systems etc.
The performance period for the project will be 150 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed.
Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $250,000 and $500,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of this selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.)
The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 237120 with a corresponding small business size standard of $36.5 million.
Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov.
The BOP is seeking small business contractors for this project. Your business size metrics information entered in you SAM registration must be less than or equal to the small business size standard specified above . Interested small business contractors are requested to respond to this notice by adding their names to the Interested Vendors List for this posting in FedBizOpps.gov (must be logged-in to your account).
The synopsis of proposed contract action will include further instruction for responding to this opportunity. Interested bidders are advised to continuously monitor FedBizOpps.gov for all future updates.
