About this opportunity
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) of the Department of Transportation is seeking to procure accreditation and inspection services from the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL). Maintaining AASHTO AMRL accreditation is a critical quality requirement for the FHWA's Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division and its partner agencies to remain compliant with the AMRL accreditation program and meet ISO/IEC 17025 standards for the competence of construction materials testing. The FHWA is using a sole source procurement process and intends to award a contract under $250,000. All responsible sources may submit a quotation within 10 days of the October 28, 2024 posting date, which the agency will consider.
This requirement is not set-aside, and the AASHTO AMRL is the incumbent provider of these accreditation services. The services are to be performed at the FHWA's Central Materials Laboratory in Sevierville, Tennessee. The scope includes annual participation in the AASHTO Accreditation Program, on-site assessments, proficiency sample testing, and support for AASHTO standards development.
