About this opportunity
The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane is soliciting quotations for specialized A4L5 and A4L6 inductors designed for use in the A4 module of the Rantec ALQ-184 High Voltage Power Supply (HVPS). These custom inductors serve as direct replacement parts supporting depot repair operations of the Rantec ALQ-184 HVPS and must survive harsh environmental conditions requiring specialized design and construction expertise. The procurement falls under NAICS code 334416 for Capacitor, Resistor, Coil, Transformer, and Other Inductor Manufacturing. The government intends to conduct this as a sole source procurement under FAR 13.106-1 authority, negotiating exclusively with Robert M. Hadley Company due to their specialization in high voltage, high frequency magnetic components for harsh airborne environments. Offers will be evaluated based on the proposed delivery schedule, with quotations due by August 29, 2025, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and identifies Robert M. Hadley Company as the intended sole source contractor. The requirement includes 100 units of the inductor (Part Number 8095291) and one technical data package under a firm fixed price contract arrangement. Delivery is scheduled for September 12, 2025, for the inductors and 45 weeks from the date of award for the technical data package. Performance will take place at NSWC Crane's Supply Operations Building 41 Receiving facility in Crane, Indiana. The contracting officer is Vanessa Evans and the contract specialist is Kelli Beasley, both located at 300 Highway 361, Building 121 in Crane, Indiana. The solicitation follows FAR Part 13 procedures and contractors must maintain proper registration in the System for Award Management (SAM).
