About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center Austin is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) for data engineering, management support, and quality assurance recommendations for the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (SSG Fox SPGP). The procurement seeks contractors to maintain the Data Collection Tool (DCT) in the VA enterprise cloud, support systems configuration, collaborate with VA operations, and provide comprehensive data engineering services to support the program's mission of reducing military and veteran suicide through clinical interventions and community-based prevention strategies. Companies responding must demonstrate technical capabilities to meet the Performance Work Statement requirements, provide corporate experience with specific agency references including contract numbers and dollar values, and suggest additional technologies or best practices for inclusion. The RFI has a strict 12-page limit in 12 Arial font with no marketing materials allowed, and responses must include detailed company information including NAICS code 541519 size status, DUNS number, and existing contractual vehicles. All responses are due by August 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM EST via email to Contract Specialist Ryan Sehulster.
This opportunity indicates a potential set-aside for Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs), with specific requirements that contractors cannot pay more than 50% of the government payment to non-certified SDVOSB firms for contract performance. No specific incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The VA plans to allocate up to $52 million for the SSG Fox SPGP overall, though the specific contract value for this data engineering support is not disclosed in the RFI. The initial contract period is 12 months beginning June 20, 2025, with two optional years available, and the program includes extensive VA security and privacy requirements including zero trust security controls and specialized cybersecurity measures. The Notice of Funding Opportunity was published May 15, 2025, for Fiscal Year 2026 services, with applications due July 18, 2025, and awards to be announced by September 30, 2025.
