About this opportunity

The U.S. Naval War College (NWC), procuring through the Naval Supply Systems Command's NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk Contract Department, seeks to renew its subscription for threat prevention software and security infrastructure built on Palo Alto Networks products, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and SOAR security orchestration tools. This Pre-Solicitation Notice constitutes a sources-sought announcement designed to identify qualified vendors capable of providing interoperable equipment with NWC's existing systems rather than a formal solicitation for proposals. Interested offerors must submit a one-page executive summary containing company information, contact details, and capability details demonstrating their equipment's interoperability with NWC's current infrastructure. While no specific evaluation criteria are detailed in this sources-sought announcement, the government's primary objective is to identify alternative sources beyond the historically sole-sourced Palo Alto Networks vendor. The submission deadline is December 1, 2025, coinciding with the posting date, indicating this is an urgent request for capability information.

No set-aside designation applies to this procurement. The incumbent contractors are identified as holders of contracts N0018924FZ104 and N0018925FZ079, both previously awarded to Palo Alto Networks resellers. The notice does not specify an award value or budget range for this requirement. The anticipated period of performance runs from December 10, 2025, through December 9, 2026, representing a one-year firm fixed-price contract. The procurement falls under NAICS code 541519 (Other Computer Related Services) and PSC code 7B22 (IT and Telecom - Compute: Servers). The government explicitly states that while this sources-sought announcement seeks information for planning purposes, no contract award will result from responses, and the government will not compensate offerors for submitted information.
