About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center seeks sole-source licensing, maintenance, and technical support for Lunit Patient Hub Software, a mammography tracking and patient notification platform, with proposals due September 28.
Place of performance is Temple Terr, FL 33637. The sole-source acquisition covers seven VA Healthcare System locations within Health Service Area 2.3: Bay Pines, Miami, North Florida/South Georgia, Orlando, Caribbean, James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital, and West Palm Beach. The contract period runs October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with three optional 12-month renewal periods exercisable at Government discretion, for a potential four-year total. The NAICS code is 513210, Software Publishers; PSC is 7A21.
The justification cites 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) and FAR 6.103-1 (only one responsible source). Patient Hub is proprietary software exclusively developed and maintained by Lunit Americas Inc. (3500 188th Street SW, Suite 335, Lynnwood, WA 98037), currently deployed and integrated within clinical workflows at all seven locations. The software contains patient tracking histories, recall notification records, ACR compliance documentation, and examination workflow data. It interfaces with Hologic mammography acquisition systems and Nuance PowerScribe radiology reporting systems through integrations not transferable to alternative products. Market research identified competing products (MagView, PenRad, Viztek) but determined none can access the proprietary Patient Hub data environment or replicate existing clinical interfaces without complete system replacement estimated at $210,000 and approximately six months of implementation time. Replacement would create direct patient safety risks, jeopardize ACR accreditation compliance, and disrupt VA mammography policy compliance. Lunit has no authorized resellers and holds no Federal Supply Schedules or Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts.
