About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Technology Acquisition Center is seeking an Automated Discharge Planning (ADP) software solution for the Charles George VA Medical Center to help social workers coordinate patient discharges to various care facilities. The procurement will be conducted through a Request for Information (RFI) under existing Blanket Purchase Agreement 36C10B21A0001, with the goal of acquiring a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software system. Interested vendors must submit a capability statement demonstrating how their solution meets specific technical requirements, including integration with VA electronic health records, real-time facility availability tracking, mobile device compatibility, and FedRAMP High compliance. Responses are due by February 25, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST, and must be submitted directly to Contract Specialist Kelly Reale and Contracting Officer Michael Weckesser. Vendors are required to indicate their Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) status and provide verification through the SBA's Veteran Small Business Certification Portal.

The procurement is not set aside for any specific business type, though preference will be given to verified SDVOSBs and VOSBs. The contract will have a 60-month period of performance, with an initial 12-month base period and three 12-month option periods. While no specific budget range was disclosed, vendors are asked to provide a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) pricing for the solution. The software must include perpetual licensing, software maintenance, helpdesk support (8 AM-5 PM, 7 days a week), and comprehensive training services. Implementation requirements include on-site go-live support for up to 3 days, a 30-day post-implementation health check, and hosting within the VA Enterprise Cloud. The solution must support simultaneous patient referrals to multiple facilities and provide robust provider network maintenance and system optimization capabilities.
