About this opportunity

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Alaska State Office has issued a Special Notice for the procurement of Carlson brand-name or equal software. The BLM requires the Carlson software package of Civil, GIS, and Survey software to replace their existing obsolete, in-house developed software.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to acquire the Carlson software, which the agency has determined is unique in its ability to perform the required cadastral survey tasks that have not been met by any other software. The estimated cost for 37 units of the Carlson software is $106,837.50, which the contracting officer has deemed fair and reasonable. The Special Notice has a due date of September 23, 2024, and there is no set-aside for this opportunity. Other software developers responded to a sources sought notice, but the BLM technical end user identified only Carlson software as capable of meeting the agency's specific needs. There is no immediate plan to replace the existing Carlson software in the foreseeable future.
