About this opportunity

The 78th Force Support Squadron at Robins Air Force Base is seeking to procure three autonomous hot food vending machines through the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center. The vending machines must provide 24/7 unattended access to high-quality meals and feature a 55-inch interactive touchscreen, 220V power supply, multiple payment method capabilities, and connectivity through 5G, Wi-Fi, and wired networks. Key technical requirements include refrigeration capacity for 60-100 items, an internal combination infrared/convection/microwave oven capable of reaching 450°F, and compliance with UL, CSA, and NAMA safety and vending standards. The procurement will utilize a sole source award process, as the government has determined that Le Bread Express is the only source capable of satisfying the agency requirements. The solicitation was posted on July 28, 2025, with responses due by August 4, 2025, and delivery required by September 22, 2025.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is structured as a sole source acquisition to Le Bread Express, located at 1496 Merry Lane, San Jose, California. The contract is funded through Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) generated by the military community rather than federal tax dollars, meaning it does not obligate appropriated funds of the United States Government. The procurement consists of two line items: three autonomous hot food kiosks and shipping services for the vending machines. The equipment will be delivered to 475 Oak Street, Building 608 at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Georgia, specifically to the 78th Force Support Squadron's Base Restaurant Vending Warehouse. The vending machines are intended to serve civilian personnel who do not have access to base dining facilities, providing autonomous inventory management and requiring 15-day advance delivery notification from the contractor.
