About this opportunity

The Roseburg VA Medical Center, under the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Integrated Service Network 20, is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Announcement to identify potential contractors capable of supplying specialized meal delivery carts. The procurement involves four Dinex DXPTQC2T2DPT24 two-door meal delivery carts and three Dinex DXPTQC2T1DPT12 one-door meal delivery carts, with all-stainless steel construction required for sanitation purposes in a medical environment. Key technical requirements include sound-dampening bearing covers, gravity-locking doors with door stops, eight casters per cart (four locking-swivel and two fixed center wheels), wrap-around bumpers, vertical push handles, and three-sided top rails for safe meal delivery. Interested vendors must submit written responses by January 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time, providing company information, contact details, business size classifications, NAICS code 333310 compliance status, and GSA/FSS contract holder information. This is a market research exercise only and does not obligate the government to issue a subsequent solicitation or award a contract based on responses received.

No set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement; however, the VA has expressed particular interest in Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The notice specifies that the two-door carts must accommodate at least 24 trays while the one-door carts must hold at least 12 trays, establishing the minimum capacity requirements for evaluation of equivalent products. Respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and must be authorized resellers or manufacturers of the specified equipment. The contract value and final award timeline have not been disclosed in the Sources Sought Announcement, as this represents an early market research phase to inform the government's acquisition strategy and identify capable sources prior to formal solicitation. All interested companies are encouraged to respond with documentation demonstrating their capability to provide the required meal delivery carts or comparable alternatives that meet the specified technical and safety standards.
