About this opportunity
NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking contractors to procure and repair the F/A-18 Engine Fuel Display (NSN 0RH 7025 016879485), a critical aerospace component classified under NAICS 334511. The agency intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, focusing on a long-term spare and repair requirements contract for this specific engine fuel display. All responsible sources are invited to express interest and submit capability statements within 15 days of the notice's publication on November 26, 2024, with the final response deadline set for December 10, 2024. Source approval is mandatory, and contractors must submit a detailed Source Approval Request package alongside their proposal using guidelines from the NAVSUP-WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete this proposed contract based on received responses.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this opportunity, suggesting open competition among qualified vendors. The contract is subject to the Trade Agreements Act and will involve the procurement of a specialized engine fuel display for the F/A-18 aircraft system. While specific award values are not disclosed, the government's intent suggests a potentially significant long-term contract for spare parts and repair services. The procurement process emphasizes thorough vendor qualification, with NAVSUP WSS requiring comprehensive documentation to validate a contractor's capability to manufacture or repair the specified component. Interested parties can obtain additional submission information through the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support business opportunities website, with Colleen Courtney serving as the primary point of contact for inquiries.
