1. The BOSCH Autodome Starlight 7000 1080p HD IP Low-Light PTZ Dome Camera (VG5-7230-EPC5) seems to have been discontinued with Bosch. Can we use a different model camera from Bosch that is similar?

Answer 1: yes, alternate options must work within the existing Bosch system. Visits are welcomed if vendor would like to gather additional data

2. Do you have a drawing or map of the building with the camera locations and IDF room marked?

Answer 2: I do not. There is internal access to the top of the building, we must coordinate with building management, I will be able to show you where the inside camera is. Visits are welcomed if vendor would like to gather additional data

3. Will you need mounts for the external cameras? If so, is there a specific model mount you would like?

Answer 3: no, please use existing mounts

4. Has a site survey been scheduled? If so, may we have the details.

Answer 4: No, I can be contacted to schedule Wednesday July 6 Friday July 8 0800-2pmd

Please provide more information on the location of the three (3) exterior cameras and the interior camera for this opportunity. Can they be accessed with ladders, or will we need to bring lift equipment/bucket truck?

Answer 1: Three building exterior roof cameras can be accessed through roof access by interior ladder on third floor. Interior camera will require 8ft ladder to access on interior stairwell wall

B.2 DESCRIPTION DOCUMENT

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Benefits Administration has a requirement to 1) Remove four (4) unserviceable security cameras. 2) Purchase replacements, installation, and in-service testing of new equipment at the Columbia Regional Office, 6437 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209. Removed items will be given to building management for disposition.

BACKGROUND:

The Columbia Veteran Affairs Regional Office (VARO) currently has a Bosch security system with three (3) exterior and one (1) interior security camera that are unserviceable possibly due to a lightning strike.

The current system is used to monitor select areas in the VARO as well as the outside parking lots 24/7, 365 days a year. Interior cameras have 360 recording capability with the exterior having only PTZ capabilities.

SCOPE:

The awarded vendor will provide:

Replacement items, personnel, transportation, and necessary tools to provide removal of existing equipment and installation of new equipment to the physical addresses of the Columbia VA Regional Office.

Cable, and routing of necessary cable, Current cameras are connected to security system through Category 6 U/UTP Copper Cable.

Lodging and sustenance expenses of assigned team.

All services must take place between the hours of 7am 4pm M-F except on National Holidays.

***No refurbished, used, or remanufactured items will be accepted

SECURITY CLAUSE:

The contractor, their personnel, and their subcontractors shall be subject to the Federal laws, regulations, standards, and VA Directives and Handbooks regarding information and information system security as delineated in this contract.

SUPPORTING INFORMATION

A. Place of Delivery: Columbia Regional Office, 6437 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia S.C. 29209

B. Period of Performance: 30 days upon award of contract

C. Inspection and Acceptance Criteria: Deliverables will be inspected, and the vendor will be notified of any discrepancy found within 10 workdays of delivery.

D. Warranty: Manufacturer s hardware warranty.
