About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration, specifically Veterans Integrated Service Network 19 (VISN 19), is seeking a blanket purchase agreement for comprehensive coagulation testing services and equipment. The contract will require a contractor to provide all necessary equipment, reagents, standards, controls, supplies, and accessories for generating patient Coagulation Cost Per Reportable Result (CPRR) across multiple VISN 19 locations. The solicitation (36C25925Q0074) encompasses a full-service solution including equipment provision, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, training, and quality control. The contract is classified under NAICS code 334516 for Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing and PSC code 6640 for Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. Responses to this pre-solicitation notice are due by November 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM Mountain Time, with the contracting office located in Greenwood Village, Colorado, and Lindsey Zwaagstra serving as the Contracting Officer.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations, suggesting the procurement will be open to all qualified vendors. The contract will be a 5-year ordering period blanket purchase agreement, providing significant potential for a stable, long-term business relationship with the VA. While specific award values are not disclosed in the current documentation, the comprehensive nature of the services—covering equipment, consumables, and maintenance across multiple locations—suggests a substantial contract opportunity. The scope includes equipment ownership by the contractor, implying potential significant upfront investment and ongoing service commitments. The geographic coverage spans the entire VISN 19 network, which likely encompasses multiple VA medical facilities in states within that integrated service network, potentially increasing the contract's complexity and value.
