About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Philadelphia) is seeking contractors to perform a 5-year Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) renewal for repairing two specific National Item Identification Numbers (NIINs) used on the F/A-18 aircraft. The contract requires contractors to provide labor, materials, and facilities necessary to repair and modify specified items, with the government intending to negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority. All responsible sources are invited to express interest and submit capability statements within 45 days of the publication date, though this is not a competitive proposal request. Source approval is mandatory, and contractors not currently approved must submit detailed information from the NAVSUP-WSS Source Approval Information Brochure alongside their proposal. The government maintains full discretion in determining contract award, and will not delay the procurement process while source approval is pending.

While no specific award value or budget range is detailed, the contract encompasses a 5-year duration for repair services related to F/A-18 components. The point of contact for this opportunity is Michael Zuccarini, who can be reached at michael.zuccarini@navy.mil. Potential contractors must demonstrate capability to handle specialized repair work for complex aviation electronics, with the place of performance likely being at the contractor's facility or a designated naval maintenance location. The solicitation emphasizes the government's need for technical expertise in repairing specific electrical and electronic components used in naval aviation systems.
