About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Integrated Service Network 22 is conducting market research through this Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified sources capable of providing a Contract Injection System for the Interventional Radiology/Operating Room at Phoenix VA Health Care System. The agency seeks vendors who can supply a contrast injection system that meets specific salient characteristics including a digital user interface, clear-view syringe for contrast visibility, flexible articulating arm for maneuverability, mobile pedestal mount with wheels and brake stops, and real-time control of single and variable flow rates. The procurement falls under NAICS code 334517 (Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 1,200 employees, and the government is particularly interested in understanding vendors' size classifications and socioeconomic status. Vendors must demonstrate their capabilities against the referenced Medrad Mark 7 Arterion Injection System or provide equivalent solutions with compelling evidence of meeting all requirements. Responses to this market research effort are due by July 31, 2025, at 1:00 PM Pacific Time, and must be submitted via email to Samuel.Han@va.gov.

This opportunity does not include any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified vendors regardless of size. The government has identified the Medrad Mark 7 Arterion Injection System with Pedestal Mount (model ART700 PEDL) as the brand name reference product, with a requirement for one unit. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are mentioned in the notice, and no specific budget ranges or award values are disclosed, though vendors are encouraged to provide general pricing information for market research purposes. The RFI emphasizes that this is solely an information-gathering exercise and does not constitute a formal solicitation, with any future procurement announcement to be issued separately. The government is also seeking information about vendors' existing federal contracts, including FSS GSA/NAC schedules, NASA SEWP contracts, or other federal contract vehicles that might include the requested equipment.
