About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to establish an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for a Light, Marker, Distress product (NSN: 6230-01-262-1812) specifically manufactured by ACR Electronics, Inc. The solicitation is limited to vendors offering this precise manufacturer part number under PR number 1000199886. Significant export control requirements are in place, mandating that all offerors and supply sources have an approved Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification and DLA controlling authority approval to access export-controlled data. Proposals must be electronically submitted through the DIBBS Internet Bid Board System by May 8, 2025, with the solicitation tentatively scheduled for release on May 8, 2025. The evaluation will focus on pricing based on an Estimated Annual Demand of 551 units, with a guaranteed minimum to be specified in the final solicitation.
The contract will be a firm-fixed price, 5-year base contract with no option periods, covering delivery to facilities throughout the Continental United States. Delivery requirements are set at 90 days from contract award, with terms of FOB Origin and Inspection/Acceptance at Destination for DLA Direct. The procurement falls under NAICS category 335139 for Electric Lamp Bulb and Other Lighting Equipment Manufacturing. There is no specific set-aside designation for this opportunity, making it open to eligible vendors meeting the export control and certification requirements. The estimated annual demand suggests a potential contract value tied to the 551 unit requirement, though the exact budget range is not explicitly detailed in the pre-solicitation notice. Critical application item status and potential export restrictions underscore the technical complexity and strategic importance of this lighting equipment procurement.
