Added: Jan 28, 2011 1:11 pm The Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (SCRT) has a requirement sixty thousand (60,000) Ballistic Shootpacks over a three (3) year period. The shootpack is designed to be a simulate/surrogate of the ballistic resistant materials of the Improved Outer Tactical Vest (IOTV) armor system and will be used in testing of hard armor. This proposed procurement is Unrestricted. The Government intends to procure through Simplified Acquisition Procedures (commercial items) under NAICS 339999 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. All responsi ble sources may submit a proposal which shall be consid ered by the agency. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge. The media through which the Government chooses to issue this solicitation will be the Internet only. This solicitation will not be issued in paper. Contractors' requests for this solicitation will be performed through ASFI (https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/). Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award of a Federal contract. Information regarding registration can be obtained from the Business Partner Network site in the CCR link at https://www.ccr.gov/. Contractors are also required to complete online representations and certifications at the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) portal at https://orca.bpn.gov/, prior to the RFP closing date. Issuance on or about 4 February 2011; proposals due on or about 23 February 2011.
