About this opportunity
NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking contractors to provide Performance Based Logistics (PBL) support for the ALR-67(V)3 radar warning system used in F/A-18 aircraft. The procurement involves multiple electronic components including countermeasures receivers, antennas, computers, and signal processors. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, indicating a potential sole-source procurement. All responsible sources may submit capability statements in response to this notice, with proposals considered if received within 15 days of publication. Potential contractors must be prepared to submit a Source Approval Request package, as the government currently does not possess the technical data necessary to perform repairs or manufacturing of these complex electronic components.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this procurement. The contract is subject to the Buy American Act, requiring domestically manufactured components. While no specific award value is mentioned, the complexity of the radar warning system components suggests a potentially significant contract value. The procurement covers multiple NSN-coded electronic parts, including low band integrated antennas, countermeasures receivers, antenna groups, countermeasures computers, signal processors, and enhanced antenna detectors. Interested contractors should be aware that source approval is required, and the Navy will not delay the award while source approval is pending. Potential bidders can obtain additional source approval information through the NAVSUP-WSS Source Approval Information Brochure for Repair, with the point of contact being Colleen Courtney via her Navy email.
