About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration is seeking to procure the installation of a Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to improve radio coverage and address dead spots for the VA Police radios at the Leavenworth VA Medical Center campus. The DAS system is needed to resolve patient and employee safety issues caused by the current radio coverage gaps. Responses are due by March 22, 2024, and the contract will have a 90-day archive period after the response date. The solicitation includes clauses related to service contract labor standards, electronic invoicing, and IT security requirements.
This contract opportunity is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs). The place of performance is the Leavenworth, KS VA Medical Center campus. A pricing list indicates the DAS system will include fiber optic equipment, repeaters, cables, antennas, and other necessary components to be installed across the main hospital, Building 122, and Building 160. While no award value is specified, the quantities and list of equipment provide some insight into the scale and budget for this procurement.
