About this opportunity

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is seeking information from potential contractors regarding the production and sustainment of the 57-millimeter Mark 110 Gun Mount (MK 110 GM), a component of the MK 48 Gun Weapon System. The pre-solicitation notice requests interested parties to demonstrate their capabilities to manufacture, repair, and maintain the gun mount, with specific requirements including providing design drawings, technical documentation, logistical components, and support services. Respondents must submit a comprehensive response no longer than 20 pages, formatted in Times New Roman 10-pt font, and electronically submitted via email by March 19, 2025. The evaluation will focus on firms' ability to meet technical requirements, including compatibility standards, engineering documentation, parts provisioning, technical assistance, and installation capabilities. Responses must include detailed information about the company's capabilities, facility resources, and potential subcontracting plans.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this opportunity, suggesting it is open to all qualified contractors. While no specific award value or budget range is mentioned, the detailed requirements suggest a complex and potentially high-value procurement in the ordnance manufacturing sector. The procurement falls under NAICS code 332994 for Small Arms, Ordnance, and Ordnance Accessories Manufacturing, with a Product Service Code (PSC) of 1010 for Guns Over 30Mm Up To 75Mm. The government emphasizes that this request for information is purely for planning and strategy development, and submitting a response does not guarantee inclusion in future bidding processes or solicitation. Respondents are advised that merely expressing interest will not suffice; they must comprehensively demonstrate their ability to meet the technical and operational requirements for the MK 110 Gun Mount production and support.
