About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically Veterans Integrated Service Network 7, has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with Structural Builders, Inc. for a roof replacement project at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. The project involves demolishing and replacing the existing roofing system over the 2nd floor MRI area, including removal of existing materials down to the roof deck, and installing new roofing, flashing, trim, soffit, and roof vents. The contract will be awarded to Structural Builders, Inc., a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), based on their unique qualifications, immediate availability, and comprehensive understanding of the project's requirements. The procurement is being conducted under FAR 6.302-5 and VAAR 819.7006, which allows for non-competitive procurements with SDVOSBs. The estimated contract value ranges between $100,000 and $250,000, with a planned performance period of 120 days after notice to proceed.

All submissions must be received by 5:00 PM CST on March 5, 2025, and should be sent directly to Joseph Osborn, the Contracting Officer, via email. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to compete the proposed contract based on the responses received.
