About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center announces its intent to award a sole-source purchase order to Alfa Laval Inc. for OEM fuel oil purifier operating water cover and driving device vertical parts by August 13, 2026. The Coast Guard is conducting this procurement on a sole-source basis under Simplified Acquisition Procedures; the justification cites exclusive licensing agreements and the urgency required to maintain CGC VIGOROUS's Atlantic Area mission execution schedule. This notice serves to inform industry of the government's intent and to conduct market research identifying potential alternative sources, but responses will not form the basis for contract award. Interested firms must submit a written Capability Statement demonstrating the ability to provide a part fully equivalent in form, fit, and function to the specified OEM item. Capability Statements should include company details (name, address, CAGE Code, UEI Number, website), business size and NAICS code, applicable small business status, and a technical narrative describing capability to deliver an equivalent product. Respondents should reference the attached Statement of Work detailing technical requirements, the Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition, and Alfa Laval's Sole Proprietor Letter establishing its sole-source status.
