About this opportunity
The General Services Administration (GSA) Public Buildings Service Region 5 is seeking to lease office space in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). The lease opportunity requires approximately 8,800-8,900 rentable square feet within Milwaukee city limits, including one structured reserved parking space. Key contract requirements include meeting government standards for fire safety, accessibility, seismic performance, and sustainability, with the space prohibited from being located in a 0.2-percent-annual chance floodplain. The current lease expires on 8/31/2026, and the government anticipates a 5-year lease with a 2-year firm term, evaluating potential alternatives based on economic advantages and relocation costs. Expressions of Interest are due by 2/17/2025, with an estimated occupancy date of 9/1/2026, and the Lease Contracting Officer is Colleen McGuigan.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this contract opportunity. While the current occupant is the National Labor Relations Board, the government is open to alternative space proposals that may provide economic benefits. The solicitation does not specify a precise award value, but implies a standard office lease arrangement for a federal agency. Prospective offerors must comply with telecommunications prohibitions under Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act. The lease requires strict adherence to government building standards, with careful consideration given to factors such as location, infrastructure, and potential relocation expenses that could impact the overall economic assessment of the lease renewal or alternative space options.
