About this opportunity
The General Services Administration (GSA) Public Buildings Service Region 5 is seeking to lease office space in Minneapolis, Minnesota for two government agencies. The solicitation requires a fully serviced lease for 7,083 to 7,456 square feet of contiguous office space, divided into two adjacent blocks totaling approximately 7,400 square feet. Key requirements include avoiding locations near public-facing law enforcement, courts, social services, or other sensitive agencies, and ensuring the space meets government standards for fire safety, accessibility, seismic stability, and sustainability. Expressions of interest are due by February 10, 2025, at 4:00 PM CST, with submissions requiring detailed information including building specifics, ownership documentation, and a full-service rental rate. Evaluation will focus on meeting the agency's spatial needs, location restrictions, and economic feasibility of the proposed space.
The lease opportunity is not set aside for any specific business category and will be a 10-year contract with a 5-year firm term and 5-year option term. The targeted occupancy date is October 1, 2027, replacing an existing lease that expires on September 30, 2027. Potential lessors must provide a comprehensive rental rate that includes utilities, janitorial services, and maintenance for both tenant spaces and common areas. The GSA will consider alternative spaces based on economic advantage, taking into account potential relocation costs, tenant improvements, and telecommunication infrastructure. Interested parties must comply with telecommunications prohibitions under Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act and submit all required documentation to Stephanie Carlson, the Lease Contracting Officer, at the specified contact information.
