Services involve the preparation of designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various construction projects throughout the continental US and Puerto Rico.

Individual requirements will vary in size, complexity, and quantity of work required; Task Orders (TOs) will describe specific details for individual requirements.

Performance must be by an A-E Firm who regularly engages in architectural design and related services. The following list is an outline of the tasks the Government may require:

  • Designs and/or feasibility studies for new structures, roofing, various repairs, alterations and/or improvements to barracks, administrative facilities, warehouses, training buildings, transportation infrastructure and other existing facilities
  • Building condition reports, including Installation Status Reports (ISRs)
  • Rehabilitation of historic buildings and structures
  • Construction Project Management and Inspection Services
  • Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) services, including the scanning or digitization of existing construction drawings

Anticipated disciplines required for performance of the primary objectives of this contract are as follows:

  • Architecture
  • Civil Engineering
  • Structural Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Fire Protection Engineering and Life Analysis
  • Building Information Modeling

The Government only requires these services on an as-needed basis. As such the Government defines work requirements on TOs placed against an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract.

With respect to geographic location, firms will be limited (IAW) Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.602-1(a)(5), which reads “Agencies shall evaluate each potential (A&E) contractor in terms of its location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality of the project; provided, that application of this criterion leaves an appropriate number of qualified firms, given the nature and size of the project.” As services occur throughout the continental US and Puerto Rico, the Government intends to generally evaluate firm’s geographic capabilities during the initial MAIDIQ award. This does not prohibit more specific geographic evaluation during award of individual TOs.

Awarded contract TBD to unknown vendor for unknown amount on 2025-03-15.
