About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Contracting Command-New Jersey, specifically the Office of the Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM-MAS), is seeking proposals for 40mm grenade ammunition development and engineering services. The procurement focuses on non-recurring engineering (NRE) efforts involving fabrication, assembly, evaluation, and producibility assessments for 40mm grenade ammunition programs. Primary objectives include assessing enhanced lethality and accuracy technologies for legacy and future grenade ammunition, improving production and manufacturing capabilities, and advancing munitions life cycle management. This will be a full and open competition for non-commercial services and supplies, with the government anticipating releasing the Request for Proposal (RFP) on April 14, 2025. The contract will be a single five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a mixed pricing structure of Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF). The contract will be administered through the Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command at Picatinny Arsenal, categorized under NAICS code 332993 for Ammunition Manufacturing. While specific award values are not disclosed, the comprehensive nature of the solicitation suggests a substantial potential contract opportunity for ammunition engineering and manufacturing firms.
