Notice of Intent to Issue Sole Source Award
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6), intends to negotiate with Impac Systems Engineering, LLC on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, for the POSTPRO DP PRO De-Powdering Solution, (Item #400200) and Installation/Training for the Richmond VAMC.
POSTPRO DP PRO is the solution for cleaning or shot blasting parts hour after hour, eliminating time and cost-consuming interventions. It is ergonomically designed and equipped with features to increase cleaning millions of parts. Suitable for all commonly used materials and geometries, and additionally can be used for shot blasting. Delivering parts ready for use or for other post-processing steps. This equipment is Brand Name Only for standardization at the Richmond VAMC.

Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 6 anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price purchase order to Impac Systems Engineering for this requirement. Interested parties that believe they could satisfy the requirements listed above for the Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 6 may clearly and unambiguously identify their capability to do so in writing on or before the response date for this notice. This notice of intent is not a solicitation.
Information submitted in response to this notice will be used solely to determine whether competitive procedures could be used for this acquisition. Contract Title. Post-Processing of Assistive Technology 3D Printed Products using Automated Industrial Depowdering System for removing excess powder and finishing high quantity of products rapidly and efficiently
Background/Dates of Service (Period of Performance). The Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center is requesting an automated industrial depowdering system and supplies. Initial implementation would commence on April 1, 2022.
Scope.
The Contractor shall provide equipment, tools, materials, installation, training, and repair (12 months) necessary for McGuire VA staff to operate an automated depowdering system capable of finishing up to 20kg of parts at a time.
Specific Tasks.
The Vendor will provide the following supplies:
PostProDP PRO depowdering system
PostProDP PRO full option package with eWon module, blast gun-support, blast pressure adjustment, HEPA filter
The Vendor will provide the following equipment to provide services.
Vendor will provide on-site training and installation for approx. three staff members on the entire printer system
Vendor will provide 1 year of warranty on any material and construction defects
