About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is seeking 600 elevated dog beds for the 341st Training Squadron at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland. The solicitation requires cot-style beds with specific dimensions of 44" x 27" and 3" legs, constructed with a 100% aluminum frame and smoke gray vinyl material resistant to mold, mildew, and pests. The beds must support 200-250 lbs and have no sharp edges, protruding screws, or removable parts. The contract will be awarded on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis, with only the three lowest-priced technically acceptable quotes being evaluated. Quotes are due by 10:00am CST on March 4, 2025, and must be submitted via email to the designated contracting specialists.

This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS code 316990 with a size standard of 500 employees. The contract will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price with quotes required to be valid for 90 days after submission. Delivery of the beds is required by September 30, 2025, to Building 7487 at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas 78236. Vendors must submit specification sheets and pictures with their quotes, and the government intends to award the contract without discussions, though they reserve the right to conduct negotiations if necessary. The total quantity of 600 beds will be used to provide a better sleeping and resting environment for military working dogs, offering relief from aching joints and protection from concrete floors and insects.
