About this opportunity
Air Combat Command announced a sole-source intent to WepTac A.G. for the WARLOCK communications architecture supporting the 306th Rescue Squadron, with a justification notice posted August 24, 2026 and a response window closing August 27, 2026. The Government will not accept quotes at this stage and has justified sole-source award under 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), determining that WepTac A.G. is the only responsible source capable of delivering the integrated system.
The requirement provides field-deployable MANET capability for Guardian Angel operations, combining long-range directional communications, persistent relay capability for unmanned systems, and cross-network interoperability bridging Silvus and TrellisWare networks. Market research identified no alternative responsible sources with equivalent integrated design, operational maturity, and ability to meet strict mission preparation timelines. The acquisition includes nine line items: three directional and relay communication kits (each 2 units with 3-year integration support and training), one electromagnetic situational awareness kit, two RF environment antenna kits (5 and 4 units respectively), one Cradlepoint software kit with 3-year support, and two operator training courses covering NET and BEAST+ passive operations, each limited to CONUS delivery. Total acquisition value falls under $10 million. The Government commits to continued market research for future procurements to identify alternative sources capable of equivalent capabilities.
