About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is conducting a pre-solicitation market survey for an engine cooling system component, specifically an injector assembly/radiator for engine cooling (NSN 2930-01-337-0202). The agency is seeking to identify potential suppliers capable of manufacturing this item, which currently has three approved sources: GO Dan Industries, Porobond Products LLC, and Oshkosh Defense LLC. The procurement falls under NAICS code 336310 for Motor Vehicle Gasoline Engine and Engine Parts Manufacturing, with the item classified under AMC/AMSC code "1P," indicating it is suitable for competitive acquisition but the government does not own the rights to manufacturing data. Companies interested in becoming approved sources must submit a comprehensive Source Approval Request (SAR) package demonstrating their ability to manufacture the product to the same quality standards as the original equipment manufacturer. The market survey response deadline is October 6, 2025, with all submissions directed to Contract Specialist Travis Grafton.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified suppliers regardless of business size. The three current approved sources are GO Dan Industries (part number X-3826), Porobond Products LLC (part number PB5007), and Oshkosh Defense LLC (part number 1801280), representing the existing qualified suppliers for this engine cooling component. The pending Request for Proposals will cover an initial quantity of 387 units with a potential 100% option that could bring the total requirement to 774 units. The government file indicates this market survey is purely for intelligence gathering purposes and is not a formal solicitation, with the actual contract award timeline not yet specified. Companies responding to the survey must provide detailed information about their manufacturing capabilities, inventory status, pricing structure, and delivery timelines to support the government's acquisition planning process.
