About this opportunity
Naval Sea Systems Command is establishing an 8(a) sole-source procurement for Special Support Equipment (SSE) related to 250-KS4 Ship Service Gas Turbine Generator (SSGTG) turbine assembly replacement procedures, with responses due May 14, 2026.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), acting as the In-Service Engineering Agent for the SSGTG, is developing intermediate-level repair procedures to be executed at Regional Maintenance Center turbine shops. The Navy aims to establish an internal repair capability for 250-KS4 turbines that does not currently exist, reducing repair turnaround times and enabling refurbishment of previously unserviceable carcasses. The procurement is coded to NAICS 332216 (Saw Blade and Handtool Manufacturing) and PSC 5180 (Sets, Kits, and Outfits of Hand Tools), suggesting the focus is on specialized tooling or equipment support rather than the turbines themselves.
No explicit award value, period of performance, quantity of units, or place of performance beyond the regional maintenance center context is stated in this pre-solicitation notice.
