Notice text
(1) To be in compliance with SCD 14824 with the new universal MHE battery charger Element iHF chargers, Model LMT10KW48250TMIL, the US Navy is moving to reduce the amount of hazardous material associated with lead-acid batteries and migrating to maintenance free “Gel sealed” batteries. The combination of the new battery charger and new maintenance free “Gel sealed” batteries will optimize existing MHE battery life, automatically identify the battery for accurate charging, and significantly reduce ships force workload of constantly monitoring charging cycles. Approximately 30 electrical fork trucks per CVN-68 class ships (2 ships total) require modification.
(2) Schedule of Delivery, Quantity and Government ship:
2020 USS Ronald Reagan CVN76 May 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020 (30) each
2021 USS Abraham Lincoln CVN72 October 1, 2020 to February 28, 2021(30) each
NOTE: (30) each for the USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN WILL BE PROCESSED AS AN OPTION.
Solicitation to follow on April 1, 2020
This will be a Small Business Set-Aside
