About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Clothing and Textiles has issued a solicitation for the Advanced Technology Anti-G Suit (23/P ATAGS), a specialized flight clothing item for military personnel. The contract, identified as SPE1C1-24-C-0016, was awarded to Vinyl Technology for a fixed quantity of 140 units requiring Engineering Source Approval from Robbins Air Force Base. The suits must be manufactured according to specific specifications, including HSW AT AGS-OO Rev. D and 40470G-01KX-0 Rev. B, with strict adherence to applicable drawings. Vinyl Technology is currently the only approved source for these anti-g suits, which are critical for pilot safety during high-stress flight conditions. The solicitation was posted on March 6, 2025, with proposals due by March 21, 2025, indicating a relatively short response window for potential contractors.
The contract involves procuring anti-g suits in multiple sizes, specifically 55 units in Size 5, 65 units in Size 6, 2 units in Size 7, 23 units in Size 8, and 10 units in Size 9, totaling 140 units across five different sizes. The procurement falls under the NAICS category 315990 for Apparel Accessories and Other Apparel Manufacturing and the PSC category 8475 for Specialized Flight Clothing and Accessories. There is no specific set-aside designation for this contract, which suggests it is open to all qualified contractors. The modification to the original contract will add specific National Stock Numbers (NSNs) for each suit size, facilitating inventory management and procurement tracking. The contract is clearly focused on supporting military aviation personnel with high-performance protective equipment, emphasizing precision manufacturing and strict quality control standards.
