About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District is hosting a free Small Business Industry Day on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Marcus Whitman Conference Center in Walla Walla, Washington. The event is designed for business owners and representatives interested in understanding how to do business with the Corps of Engineers. The Walla Walla District, which covers 107,000 square miles across six states, manages environmental, hydroelectric, navigation, engineering, construction, emergency management, and recreation services. The district annually awards contracts averaging $100 to $150 million for construction projects, Architect-Engineering studies, and various supplies and services. This district is one of 41 within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and operates six hydroelectric power facilities with $2.5 billion in infrastructure.

The primary objective of the Industry Day is to provide comprehensive training and insights for businesses seeking to engage with the Corps of Engineers. Participation is free, but registration is required due to limited seating, with interested parties directed to register via an Eventbrite link. The event will feature informational briefings from District Staff, Small Business Administration, and APEX Accelerator, covering topics such as SBA regulatory updates, contracting processes, and upcoming opportunities. Contractors, particularly those with little or no government contracting experience, are encouraged to attend and will have opportunities to participate in roundtable discussions and breakout sessions focusing on specific business lines like A&E Services, Construction, Hydropower, Flood Risk-Emergency Response, Navigation, Recreation, and Environmental services. Large businesses can also reserve information tables to engage with potential small business partners, and a limited number of capability presentation slots are available on March 7, 2025, allowing direct engagement with district decision-makers.
