About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District has issued a Special Notice for its 2025 Small Business Industry Day, scheduled for March 6, 2025, at the Marcus Whitman Conference Center in Walla Walla, Washington. The event is a free seminar designed for business owners and representatives interested in understanding how to do business with the Corps. The Walla Walla District, which is one of 41 USACE districts, manages environmental, hydroelectric, navigation, engineering, construction, emergency management, and recreation services across a 107,000 square mile region encompassing parts of six states. The district operates six hydroelectric power facilities and maintains $2.5 billion in infrastructure, with annual contract opportunities averaging $100 to $150 million.
The objective of the Industry Day is to provide comprehensive training and information about contracting opportunities within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The event is open to all businesses, with a particular focus on small businesses and those with little or no government contracting experience. Participants must register in advance due to limited seating, and the day will feature informational briefings from District Staff, Small Business Administration, and APEX Accelerator representatives. The agenda includes sessions on SBA regulatory updates, program and contracting processes, and a forecast of upcoming opportunities, with breakout discussions covering areas such as A&E Services, Construction, Hydropower, Flood Risk-Emergency Response, Navigation, Recreation, and Service contract requirements. Large businesses are invited to reserve information tables, and a limited number of capability presentation slots are available on March 7, 2025, allowing businesses to present directly to district decision-makers. Contractors are encouraged to email advanced questions to james.r.glynn@usace.army.mil and to contact local APEX Accelerators and Small Business Development Centers for additional training support.
