About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command is seeking rental availability for three specialized inflatable air show markers required for Air Force Thunderbird performances at Keesler Air Force Base in 2025. The procurement involves renting three PVC sealed inflatables that must meet precise specifications: 50 feet long by 10 feet high by 10 feet wide, constructed from white 20oz-24oz vinyl material, designed to float on water, and equipped with reinforced metal eyelets in all four bottom corners. These markers serve the critical function of marking show center and "bomb burst" areas during air show performances and must maintain their rectangular shape when inflated through internal reinforcement systems. Each inflatable must include a detachable inflation device as part of the rental package. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on July 10, 2025, with responses due by July 17, 2025, providing potential contractors with a seven-day response window.
This procurement opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations, making it open to all qualified contractors capable of providing the specialized inflatable equipment. The notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or provide specific budget ranges for the rental arrangement. The requirement is specifically for three identical inflatable markers, each meeting the detailed dimensional and material specifications outlined in the attached salient characteristics document dated June 9, 2025. The timeline appears focused on the 2025 air show season at Keesler Air Force Base, though specific performance dates are not detailed in the pre-solicitation notice. The opportunity falls under NAICS code 326299 for All Other Rubber Product Manufacturing and PSC code 4220 for Marine Lifesaving and Diving Equipment, reflecting the specialized nature of the floating inflatable markers required for this military air show application.
