The notice indicates the Corps' intent to negotiate exclusively with the Boise County Sheriff's Office for law enforcement patrol services on Corps-administered lands and waters. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, with a justification based on statutory authority that allows direct contracting with governmental entities. The notice is classified under the NAICS code 561612 for Security Guards and Patrol Services. The notice emphasizes that this is an informational document and not a formal solicitation, and no award will be made based on responses received. The Corps has proprietary jurisdiction over its lands and waters, and the Boise County Sheriff's Department has the requisite jurisdiction to enforce state and local laws. Potential contractors should understand that the government retains sole discretion in determining whether to proceed with a competitive procurement. The ultimate goal is to establish a streamlined process for law enforcement services that meets the Corps' specific operational requirements.
